Monitors

Race/LA Monitors are an integral and essential part of the event - and often have as much fun as players! If you're interested in Race/LA, but unsure if you want to participate as a team, this is a great way to fully participate in this very popular event. You can apply individually, or in some cases two monitors can work together.

Monitors have direct interaction with teams at locations throughout the race and have an assortment of fun and interesting duties, including:

• Giving out clues, puzzles or games that players must complete

• Checking in and greeting teams as they arrive and depart from rest stops, and at locations throughout the race.

• Setting up tasks and/or placing clues and other activities for teams to complete during the race.

• Helping to track the progress of teams throughout the race

"If you've ever dreamed of being a spy, be a Race/LA monitor. You'll handle top secret information, carry out missions, and have a front row seat for all the excitement! "

Monitors should be friendly, well-organized and able to stay calm under pressure! And it's very helpful to be good with maps and directions. You'll need a reliable cell phone and vehicle. Monitors should be available on the day of the race from approximately 9:00 - 4:30 p.m. (there's some flexibility here). Each monitor receives an hourly fee.

CityRace Monitors

Monitors for CityRace Urban Adventure Hunts assist with checking-in teams at the start & finish of hunts, tallying scoresheets, reviewing answers & announcing teams' final scores.

CityRace Monitors typically work either 2 or 4-hour shifts on Saturdays or Sundays.

Unlike Race/LA Monitors, CityRace Monitors do not travel from place to place, as CityRace hunts are done entirely on foot within one neighborhood.

Each monitor receives an hourly fee.
