Ready for a truly unique challenge? CityRace:The Quest is a mysterious adventure for teams of 2 to 4 players that will have you asking these questions...and more!
Participants in The Quest will receive no advance information about exactly what you'll be doing, where you'll be going, or what your ultimate goal is.
Teams will be notified of their secret starting location 24 hours in advance of the game. Then, at your starting time on the morning of The Quest, you'll receive a password that you'll use to log on to a web site where you'll find the complete rules and objectives of CityRace:The Quest... and your journey will begin.
For now, we'll tell you only this:
• CityRace:The Quest is related to our other races and scavenger hunts in that you'll be navigating your way around the L.A. area in a race to be first to finish. You'll have specific tasks to accomplish. However, this is not a physically strenuous activity (unless you choose to make it one). No special skills are required. It may, however, be mentally challenging, requiring strong teamwork and strategic planning.
• General knowledge of the L.A. area will be helpful. CityRace:The Quest may occur anywhere within Los Angeles County, and may cover between 20 to 50 driving miles from start to finish. The cost is $20 per person. During The Quest, each team might spend up to $10 or $15 - although this is not required or even necessary to win.
• Each team needs their own car, although only one driver per team is required.
• Team members must travel together at all times and may not split up or separate at any time. No one other than the members of your team may travel together in each car.
• Internet access (including a computer) will be available at or near your starting location. You're free to bring any materials with you that you think might be helpful... although you may find most of these to be unnecessary. One member from each team must have a reliable cell phone capable of receiving SMS text messages.
• Children may participate (recommended for ages 13 and above).
• The winners will receive a prize (and it's not one million dollars...)
